Sneak Peek: Windows on Design + GIVEAWAY

The time has finally come! Our Windows on Design display is about to be unveiled!

I spent the morning with Cristi Holcombe and the folks at Regalo Antiques installing our grafitti-themed window display.

If you do not remember, this project is organized by Design Collective. Windows on Design is an event that pairs one showroom window with a designer to create a one-of-a-kind window display. The inaugural 2011 event theme is Celebrating Atlanta. Using Atlanta landmarks, food, history, and events as inspiration locations and designers will work together, thinking out of the box to create a amazing art installation that blends different mediums.

We chose a more specific area of concentration: graffiti. Trying to marry old world antiques and urban art was challenging and fun. I cannot wait to share the final result!

A little sneak peek from our display

The displays open Tuesday November 1st and run through November 16th, 2011. If you visit all of locations (pick up a passport that you can get stamped at each stop) you will be entered to win an Atlanta stay-cation. (Find more information at any WOD display.)
