Two Romans Walk Into A Bar...

I recently stumbled upon a few photos of "double" roman shades. It is a rather simple concept: sheers behind and light blocking fabric in the front (mounted on a single board.) I usually gravitate towards a single roman shade with panels. I cannot decide how I feel about the double roman.

Exciting Project!

I am so honored and excited to part of this year's Windows on Design project with Design Collective here in Atlanta.

Windows on Design is an event that pairs one showroom window with a Designer to create a one-of-a-kind window display. The inaugural 2011 event theme is Celebrating Atlanta. Using Atlanta landmarks, food, history, and events as inspiration Locations and Designers will work together, thinking out of the box to create a amazing art installation that blends different mediums.

The displays open November 1st and run through the closing party November 16th, 2011.

My partner is Cristi Holcombe of Charm Home Design. We were paired with Carol Klatz (and William Bloomfield) of Regalo Antiques.
Our display will be located at 165 Peachtree Hills Ave., #104.

Our individual window theme is... GRAFFITI!

Stay tuned!

Inspired By...

I thought I'd put together a little post about the things that are on my mind and inspiring me right now. Here it goes!

Finally! I found lamps for my bedroom. Suzanne Kasler can do no wrong.

Loved working on Claire's pillows. Even though I get to see the work as it is being produced, I do not get to see the designer's vision until everything is installed.
Wow Claire!

New England style... I grew up in Boston. It is what I know and love.

Paul Hobbs. I think Paul Hobbs might be my "professional crush". His desire for perfection is so admirable. You can truly taste it in his wine. He also has ripplefold draperies at the tasting house at his winery.

And as always, my biggest inspiration, Joey.

What is inspiring you these days?
